Our Teams/Committees
Feel free to donate your time and your talents to one or more of our Teams.Events Committee
The Events Committee plans and coordinates activities and events for the ministry throughout the year. They develop an annual calendar of activities, which include seasonal plant sales, yard sales, concerts and ministry anniversary activities. They meet the third Sunday of the month, after fellowship.
Community Outreach
We have a number of community outreach projects, including our Back Pack program, where we provide approx.. 100 back packs school supplies to the South Huntington School district. Our members also donate food to Island Harvest, an organization that provides food to the needy on Long Island. Our members also donate clothing to United Veterans Beacon House for veterans and their families.
Fellowship
Our Fellowship Team provides delicious healthy food and refreshments for everyone after service on Sundays. This is an important time for members, friends and first-timers to mingle and socialize in a warm and loving environment
Ushers/Greeters
Everyone who attends service on Sundays receives a warm welcome from our greeters. This includes those visiting for the first time and those who attend every Sunday. We honor and value all who come through our doors. Our ushers provide everyone with a bulletin and other material and information for the service and directs people to available seats.
Prayer Ministry Team
We believe in affirmative prayer, which is praying in confidence that the prayers have already been answered. Our Prayer Ministry Team prays daily for up to 60 days for those on our prayer list. All requests are confidential.
Children's Activities
We provide a safe environment for children between the ages of 3 – 14, to not only learn age-appropriate spiritual principles, but also have fun. Our children’s activities take place during the 11:00.
Bookstore Team
We offer a wide range of Unity, metaphysical, New Thought and other inspirational and motivational books, pamphlets, and cd’s. We also have the current issue of the Daily Word and the Unity Magazine.
Music Ministry Team
We have a growing choir with several singers who perform solos and duets throughout the month. Our music director sings and plays piano, and occasionally we have guest musicians who perform.
Audio Visual Team
This team records our services and has them placed on our YouTube Channel and our Face Book Page. They also make CD’s that are available after each service.
